This allows me to play on my console without getting distracted by my screen. My second monitor is fine, but the built-on/in laptop monitor is so bright with black that it is a bit annoying. But, so far this is all i got: And that doesn't affect anything when the screen goes black. Any suggestions ? Maffe811 Posted August 21, 2011 Author Share Posted August 21, 2011 Thanks for the idea, but I run a dual monitor setup and if I change any of those settings it resets my desktop and it would be real annoying to fix that every time.Also I could use FN+Home/FN+End to turn up/down the backlight, but im trying to figure out if I could change it between the 15 steps of light.Can you use Send with the FN button? I didnt find it in the help.Close the laptop lid?I did that all the time before, but 1. It makes the lid loose after some time and 2. if i close it so the light goes of it resets my second monitors connection and my desktop.I'll look if i can find something about getting autoit to press the FN key.If someone got ideas on how to controll the backlight, please share! Although it can read it on some brands, such as when adjusting the brightness you'll see an OSD indicating that it's being changed. If there's numerical output then you'll be able to control the backlight via software, if not then you can't. My UDFs are generally for me. If they aren't updated for a while, it means I'm not using them myself.
