Self-destructing Program

Is it possible to make a program delete itself. I'm thinking running a delete command through command prompt to delete the program might work but that'll most likely give a 'Program in Use" error. So I'm wondering, is there any 100% always successful way to make a program delete itself?

My UDFs are generally for me. If they aren't updated for a while, it means I'm not using them myself. As soon as I start using them again, they'll get updated.

No offense intended guinness but your signature is very clustered and it took me a while to find the _SelfDelete() in it. If I may suggest, I'd like to recommend that you sort your signature links alphabetically? This is just a suggestion and is entirely up to you. Also, the _SelfDelete() works excellently, thanks for the link!

No offense taken, but using Ctrl+F in your browser would have quickly found it, especially Opera which highlights the selection.

actually the "/" key initiates the find-as-you-type in Opera.

Yeah but Opera also does Ctrl+F and F3, and they're both easier to use than Shift+7 :mellow:

depends on your keyboard layout. US-101 has the "/" and the "?" next to the right shift with "/" being a non-shifted key.

Are you talking about the QWERTY layout, or the computer keyboard layout in general?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

It really all depends on what one is used to. Just because I don't have vowels with umlauts on my keyboard or Danish crowns, Euros, or DVORAK across the top row doesn't make it any less functional.
