continyu
I need to show users 1 line of text in my gui. but this 1 line must be multi colored and this coloring will be based on logic. (like if disconnect set text to disconnected and set its color to red.) I'm using something like this right now; GUICtrlSetData($label, $name & " |") GUICtrlSetData($label1, "Status: " & $status) GUICtrlSetColor($label1, "0x00FF00") GUICtrlSetPos($label1, StringLen($name & " |") * 6, 4) but this line goes longer and i'm updating it like 5 secs in a loop. so if i continue like this my script will be slow and impractical i think. so what is the best way to show colored text in gui? i was thinking gdi+ drawstringex needs lots of variables and i was forced to declare them every 5secs. so i think in this case it's slower. i'm also considering creating a 1 line edit box without borders and input (so it looks like a label) but i dont know how to set multi colored 1 line in edit. any suggestions? Moderators Melba23 Posted August 11, 2015 Moderators Share Posted August 11, 2015 LeCarre,It was the update to v4 of the forum - there is nothing left in the link to give me a clue so I cannot restore it. The best I can offer is these posts of mine from around that time which deal with RichEdit controls:I hope that helps.M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
