i am trying to capture "Accounts;Payable" from "G Accounts;Payable2 Accounts;Payable C"

essentially i want to capture the second instance of Accounts Payable and ignore spaces + anything else before and after

$line = "G Accounts;Payable2 Accounts;Payable C"
$array = StringRegExp($line, "(?:G\h[\H]+\h)", 2)
_ArrayDisplay($array)

instead the code captures the opposite of what i want to capture "G Accounts;Payable2". i thought (?:..) would do what i want but it doesnt seem to work

gcue,

Try this: ;)

$line = "G Accounts;Payable2 Accounts;Payable C"
$stext = StringRegExpReplace($line, ".*2\x20(.*)\x20.", "$1")
ConsoleWrite($stext & @CRLF)

Any good? :graduated:

What was your reason for using the 2 flag?

Here is another expression as well.

.*(?:\h)([[:alpha:];]+)(?:\h)

Or in a Replace it would be

.*\h([[:alpha:];]+)\h.+

And off the top of my head I can think of about 6 other ways of writing the expression to return the same results; that's one of the nicer points of regex, flexibility.
