Mikeman27294
Hello everyone. I have been making a program to send words to a program based on a certain button being pressed on the keyboard. This is working fine, however, I have found that the help file doesnt give a hex value for the button with the double quote character (1 to the right of the L button on standard keyboards). I was wondering whether it is just something that was forgotten to be included, or whether this button is not supported by the language. Thanks. Malkey
If you really need the Ascii hex values of " and ' they are 22 and 27, respectively. These can be found in the AutoIt help file. The keyboard key code for the " and ' button is DE (hex). This is not mentioned in the help file.
Mikeman27294
Thanks. I found that the hex for them are different via another website, but I was uncertain as to whether AutoIT atually uses the normal Hex system. Thanks. Also, I dont know where I would go to suggest this for inclusion in the help file, so could someone suggest it for me, or prefereably point me in the right direction? Thanks. jchd
Hex is Hex: there is no such thing as a "normal" hex system. What may actually differ is the ANSI charset you use or refer to. The help file correctly lists single and double quote chars' hex value for Latin Windows ANSI. What do you want more? Mikeman27294
Hahaha fair enough. I have worked with some really weird languages in the past where its the same term but extremely different values. Thanks.
