#AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=n doesn't work (ExcelBookClose problem)

Recommended Posts

It seems that putting " #AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=n" at the start of my scrpits doesn't fix the ExcelBookClose problems. I can open and read Excel files fine, but if I try to close them, they don't close. Furthermore, when I try to open a third Excel workbook, it doesn't even open.

I am not a programmer, so a lot of this stuff is over my head. But, I have developed several scripts to evaluate several different excel file data and they worked fine until I was upgraded to a 64-bit machine with windows 7. My prior machine was 32bit and ran XP, if that helps.

I would like to get these scripts running agian, I like to run them once a week, but lately, I have had to do the work manually.

Thanks for any help or insight anyone can give me.

I think the problems have been solved with the latest AutoIt beta.

Yes, that does fine. Do just need to add those five lines when I want to close?

Another issue that might be messing things up is that my Excel workbook object variables are not named "$oExcel", but "$oEnginering", "$oAccounting", and "$oProduction". I don't think that would matter, since I replace $oExcel with the appropiate variable.
