GaryFrost
What math file? Dim $NEWval = 59 $NEWval = $NEWval + 1 If IsNumber($NEWval) Then MsgBox(0,'test math',"NEWval = " & $NEWval) SciTE for AutoItDirections for Submitting Standard UDFs Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference. LxP
the help file said something about a math file. The help file may have been mentioning the Math.au3 include file, which adds the functionality to your script specified by 'Math Management' in the help file's index. You don't need to #include it if you don't need that functionality.$NEWval = $NEWval + 1This will increment the current value of $NEWval by 1. If $NEWval was non-existent, empty or non-numeric before this then $NEWval will now contain a value of 1.
