TCP Issues?

Okay, for some reason AutoIt completely stops responding when I got to Help -> Online -> Feedback in my script. Can someone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it. This has occurred on multiple computers.

My UDFs are generally for me. If they aren't updated for a while, it means I'm not using them myself. As soon as I start using them again, they'll get updated.

One thing that I notice is that on your Feedback() function, you start with IF Not $status[2] Then... and you have TCPStartup() for the first part. But scroll down to the Else on line 316, you do not initiate TCPStartup() for that case.

I realized this but this is because $Status[2] tells us if we're in feedback mode or not.

Also, you did not put TCPShutdown on the first part of the IF statement. You did put it on the Else side.

Thanks for noticing this. I fixed that so it executes a TCPShutdown after the MsgBox.

I only saw it freeze up when trying to execute the TCPConnect command and it's not finding the server to connect to. It will eventually start responding again after the message box shows up.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Any way to speed this up then?

How about pinging the server address first. If @error, then do not connect. If you get a reply, then connect.

Thanks and I failed for a second after I read that as I typing up some jury-rigged Ping using _RunDOS() when there's a Ping() command.
