FileWrite problem...

Hi amazing forum!

I face a problem that i can't solve.

Please if you have some time to find the problem, give me any suggestion...

The program deletes 2 files, runs an executable that creates the files again.

Then it reads the first file and writes to the second if there are some strings found.

The problem is that i find at the "write_here.txt" file, numbers next to numbers (example: 123123), which means that the @CRLF didn't work.

Or other times i find numbers allready writen

Other times it works fine!

You're using FileOpen with flag 1, append the text to the end of the text that's in there already. Instead of using FileDelete, you should use FileOpen with flag 2, which overwrites the file. Your main problem may be that the file isn't getting deleted when using FileDelete because it's in the root of the C: drive and may be locked. Try moving it somewhere other than the root of C:.

I cannot see anything in the code you posted which might cause a problem.

Could you post an example of a real read_from_here.txt and the values of COMMAND1 and COMMAND2 to look for within it - I get it working perfectly with a test file like this:

COMMAND2
COMMAND1

COMMAND1


COMMAND2
COMMAND1

COMMAND1


COMMAND2
COMMAND1

COMMAND1


COMMAND2
COMMAND1

COMMAND1

but nothing beats the real thing!

Is there more code? As shown, this will not run on my Win7 system...fails on the "shellexecute"...

Also, I am having trouble percieving EXACTLY what you are trying to do. Perhaps a complete example and explanation will help!

Seems like the problem is solved.

Now i don't delete the file.

I use OpenFile with flag 2, as BrewManNH suggests.

Let me check better and i will come back to tell you what is going on finaly.
