Moderators Melba23 Posted November 11, 2011 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2011 suresz449,First, welcome to the AutoIt forum. Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) will help you enormously. You should also look at the excellent tutorials that you will find here and here - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page). There are even video tutorials on YouTube if you prefer watching to reading. Good luck. Getting a good handle on AutoIt now will save you a lot of trouble later on, believe me. Mat
If you've had previous programming experience then AutoIt will be a piece of cake. Examples will be the easiest way to learn.Download instructions for AutoIt and the editor we recommend you use with it can be found here. You may not want/need the beta version, though if you are going to need a lot of com then you should probably use the latest beta, as there are a number of script breaking changes since the last production when it comes to objects.Melba has already provided a number of important pointers to learning the language.
