Problem with arrays :(

Hi guys,

Just a little problem I've run into at the moment.

$n = 1

While 1

;Long series of steps to highlight and copy some specific text to clipboard.

If some text was copied then do:
      $textarray[$n] = ClipGet()
      $n = $n +1
Else continue to second part of program (irrelevant)

WEnd

The idea is that the text from clipboard will get saved into an array called $textarray,

and with each repeat of the "While 1" loop the new retrieved text is saved into a new part of the $textarray.

i.e. first copied text will be saved into $textarray[1]

second copied text will be saved into $textarray[2]

and once there is no more text to copy, the program will kick into the second function.

All my code works fine, its just the bit I've shown above that shows an error (error at $textarray[$n]).

I hope you understand what I'm trying to get at ^^ What am I doing wrong? or is there some other way to do this?

Any help appreciated!

My suggestion is to look at Arrays in the wiki because in your example you're not declaring the Array with a dimension e.g.

Local $aArray[5]

Well that code I posted above wasn't copy and pasted from my script, I just typed it into the box to give a rough idea of what the program was doing, and so missed off the declaration.

I was declaring using: "Global $arrayone[99]" and unfortunately I was using $textarray in the actual code.. >.>

Changed the declaration to "Global $textarray[99]" and it all works perfectly.

The number of lines of text I need to store in this array varies quite a bit, hence I went for the maximum number of lines I am realistically going to get which is approaching 90.

(I then use stringsplit to create more arrays from each of these lines of text to get all the data segregated in arrays how I want it).
