Zedna
Yes, look at Word UDF in helpfile. EEIT: it seems tables are not implemented in this UDF but UI think it could be done Edited November 14, 2011 by Zedna Resources UDF ResourcesEx UDF AutoIt Forum Search
DickG
I had been using the _Word.au3 UDF with great success (AutoIt v3.3.6.1). But when I upgraded to AutoIt v3.3.8.0 yesterday, it's not working now. Nothing in the "script breaking" notes mentioned anything about Word.au3. Now that I am using the new Word UDF, I get an error when trying to open a document using the _WordCreate() command. I tried many things, but nothing worked. It seems that the returned object is not a real object using IsHWnd(). It returns an error code of 0, butthe file it tries to open certainly exists. Any idea what the problem is? Thanks, Dick
guinness
I had been using the _Word.au3 UDF with great successThat's great!Your problem has nothing to do with the original question and the topic is 7 weeks old (thereabouts,) also you haven't posted any code that reproduces the problem, so it's a little difficult to know if the problem is with the UDF or your code. returned object is not a real object using IsHWnd()That's because IsHWnd should be used with handles and not objects, IsObj is what you want. DickG
Sorry guinness, I didn't realize I was responding to an originial question. I should have started a new post. I'm still a bit green on how to use these forums. Anyway, after I posted this, I realized that it worked after I switched to the correct Word include file. I was still pointing it to my UDF folder. Thanks for the tip about the different between a handle and an object. I'll remember that. I'm still learning. Dick
