water
I write an UDF (ExcelChart.au3) where I include another UDF (ExcelChartConstants.au3) containing all the constants definitions. Au3Check for my UDF (ExcelChart.au3) runs just fine. If my UDF is combined with another UDF (Excel.au3) then I get a lot of ERROR: x previously declared as a 'Const'messages. I've set flag "-w- 3" to ignore already defined vars #Tidy_Parameters= /gd 1 /gds 1 /nsdp #AutoIt3Wrapper_Au3Check_Parameters= -d -w 1 -w 2 -w- 3 -w 4 -w 5 -w- 6 #AutoIt3Wrapper_Au3Check_Stop_OnWarning=Nbut I still get the errors. Does this flag only work for variables? I would like to include all constants in my UDF so it can be run independent from Excel.au3 but suppress all error messages if the user decides to include Excel.au3. Reproducer scripts: test.au3: #AutoIt3Wrapper_Au3Check_Parameters= -d -w 1 -w 2 -w- 3 -w 4 -w 5 -w- 6 #include <a.au3> #include <b.au3> a.au3: Global Const $a = 1 b.au3: Global Const $a = 1 Error messages I get: >"C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\SciTE\AutoIt3Wrapper\AutoIt3Wrapper.exe" /prod /AU3Check /in "C:\Temp\test.au3" +>13:24:49 Starting AutoIt3Wrapper v.2.0.1.22 Environment(Language:0407 Keyboard:00000407 OS:WIN_7/Service Pack 1 CPU:X64 OS:X64) >Running AU3Check (1.54.19.0) params:-d -w 1 -w 2 -w- 3 -w 4 -w 5 -w- 6 from:C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3 C:\Temp\test.au3(1,19) : ERROR: $a previously declared as a 'Const' Global Const $a = 1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^ C:\Temp\test.au3 - 1 error(s), 0 warning(s) !>13:24:49 AU3Check ended.rc:2 >Exit code: 0 Time: 0.340 Edited November 20, 2011 by water My UDFs and Tutorials: Spoiler UDFs:Active Directory (NEW 2022-02-19 - Version 1.6.1.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - WikiExcelChart (2017-07-21 - Version 0.4.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Example ScriptsOutlookEX (2021-11-16 - Version 1.7.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - WikiOutlookEX_GUI (2021-04-13 - Version 1.4.0.0) - DownloadOutlook Tools (2019-07-22 - Version 0.6.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - WikiPowerPoint (2021-08-31 - Version 1.5.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - WikiTask Scheduler (NEW 2022-07-28 - Version 1.6.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki Standard UDFs:Excel - Example Scripts - WikiWord - Wiki Tutorials:ADO - WikiWebDriver - Wiki
martin
I think that's tricky. Your user could add the include files to his script in any order. Ideally, excel.au3 would have an include for ExcelChartConstants.au3 which itself has #include_once. So you could distribute your own version of Excel.au3. The only way I know to deal with this is (assuming #include b.au3 is after #include a.au3 ) ;b.au3 if Eval('a') = '' Then assign('a',1,2) EndIf Edited November 20, 2011 by martin Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script. Bowmore
An alternative would be to give the constants in your file a prefix so that there would then be no conflict with the names in the standard udf. JohnOne
In your own UDF, would IsDeclared() be useful in this case? water
In your own UDF, would IsDeclared() be useful in this case? Thanks for your reply.Unfortunately this doesn't work because the error pops up during compile time and function IsDeclared is evaluated during run time.
