Scanzee
Hellow, This is my prob. I wanna send my compiled script (*.exe) whit msn to my friends.. But they can't open it because "messenger" always says that the exe file is a virus.. I always have to send it with winrar or something.. but most of my friends don't have winrar..:s.. can you tell my how I can send my exe to someone else (without autoit or winrar) the easyest way?! Thanks, Scanzee Products

Wus
When you add it to the winrar archive go to options and make it a zip instead of a rar. Windows xp has a zip prog builtin. Im not sure if this would work.. but just rename the file to .bak or somthing so it isnt a restrictwed file extension. Then have your friend rename it back. Scanzee
And how do you change the extension?! I tried it a copple of times last month but it didn't work..:s my friends are most noob.. They cant change the extension back into .exe :s But I 'll give the Zip - thing a try.. Thanks, Scanzee Products

LxP
This question is maybe noobisch but..Can you run files with your own extension (*.scz) and run them like .exe ?!Someone could probably set up their own computer so that this works, but it would initially appear as an unrecognised file on another computer. I agree that the best solution is to ZIP your EXE and send that.Or of course you could use a better messenger like Gaim, which supports the MSN protocol and many others without ads and other annoying things.
