Color detection?

Hello, im new here on this forum:). Well not new, i've been using Ait3 for like 3 days now. Now i came to forum to ask for some new help!

I read an old thread earlier about color detection. There was something about Pixelsearch() im not sure. But it was interesting and can some1 explain what it is and help me add it if i find it helpful.

Could you please explain in short what you try to achieve? A user was just banned a few hours ago because he tried to automate a game using pixelsearch.

I'm trying to make a script that's gonna help my friend and others to turn on specific settings on windows. And sorry for posting late, was taking dishes.

To turn on/off Windows settings you usually use windows controls (input fields, buttons etc.) or registry keys. if you can tell us which settings you want to change we might be able to point you into the right direction.

Snickers, why do you open a new thread about PixelSearch? You've already asked about that in a separate thread and replied that you need it for "Portforwarding"

A couple of remarks for you:

1. Stick to one thread on the same topic. I merged the topics.

2. When you get an error in normally gives a clear indication what is wrong, which you didn't post and made us figure out.

3. Load SciTE4AutoIt3, this will run au3check for you check the whole file first and possibly given more clear errors/warnings.

4. You would be wise to give some answers as to what you want to accomplish because I am slowly question your intents here are within our Forumrules! This means you will be closely monitored now.

Thanks melba! i got it to work with mousemove, but i was also wondering how can i change the command so it moves and clicks? and my exit thing didnt work lol

The function Terminate doesn't exist anywhere, and the function _Exit isn't called from anywhere.

You find it at "C:Program FilesAutoIt3AutoIt3Help.exe" if you did a standard install. Or you can read the on-line help here - but that only covers the native commands and does not cover the UDFs.

Edit: See below for the UDF link that I did not know existed.

I strongly recommend that you spend some time reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) - this will help you enormously. You should also look at the excellent tutorials that you will find here and here - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page). There are even video tutorials on YouTube if you prefer watching to reading.

I know you want to start coding NOW, but a little study will save you a lot of trouble later on, believe me.

I noticed that the translated german help file had the UDFs. Then I searched for the same filename on google and found the english file.

I think I will post on the "help file error" thread.
