Send Arrow key, stop at certain time.

Hello:) I made a code that makes the arrow key go up. but i want it to stop after X seconds (X=amount of seconds)

Send("{UP down}") ;Holds the UP key down

That's the code:P if someone could help that would be great!

Nooo, this is not for a game. OMG why do u guys always think its for a got damn game?!?! im just here to evolve my skills in Au3.. I feel really offensed when i just ask for some help and you JOS, always comes attacking me

Find Sleep() in the Help file (if you've found that..). So your code might look like this:

;UP key down
Sleep(X)
;UP key up

And i know what the SLeep(X) command is, but i want the arrow key to stop going up after X amount of seconds..EDIT: Oh i tried that before, but i didn't seem to get it working. but isn't there any command that like makes the script stop after for example 3-4 seconds. But thanks! this works too!!

Sure, there are really many programs were simulating the UP key is applicable.

As to me now chasing your ass: You elected to ignore me and several others when asked what you really wanted.

umm no:P actually i just went straight to the homepage and downloaded it so i guess im working with autoit 3

Autoit 1 2 3 is a tutorial on how to script in the program, I'd suggest looking at it and the help file.

What have you tried to create? There are some good example scripts one can play with. I'm happy to help.
