tlman12 Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 I'm having an issue with a simple script that i wrote that is used to automate a program install that dosn't have a silent or passavie. all its doing is clicking next, next, typing some stuff ect.. it has tooltips to let you know what it's doing and how long it's been doing it. but ever since i wrote it, even before the tooltips, it freezes. like the program install will finish but you have to move the mouse around to get it to register that it's finished and then the script will continue. it installs 3 seperate components. has anyone experianced this? or is that most likely realated to a buggy installer? i've done lots of automatition scripts like this before and never had one act like this. guinness Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 Your problem sounds as though it's unique to your setup, I therefore suspect you'll be waiting a long time before someone comes along with a similar situation as you are and then it's debatable on whether it will help you. I would suggest to post some 'executable' code and the name of the particular installer you're trying to automate, as this is a little more specific than what you've currently posted. Thanks.
