bingobin,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. :)

You need to look for the $TVN_ITEMEXPANDEDW message like this:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$hTreeView = GUICtrlCreateTreeView(10, 10, 200, 200)

$hRoot = GUICtrlCreateTreeViewItem("Root", $hTreeView)

For $i = 1 To 10
    GUICtrlCreateTreeViewItem("Item " & $i, $hRoot)
Next

GUISetState()

GUIRegisterMsg($WM_NOTIFY, "_WM_NOTIFY")

While 1

    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
    EndSwitch

WEnd

Func _WM_NOTIFY($hWnd, $iMsg, $wParam, $lParam)

    #forceref $hWnd, $iMsg, $wParam

    Local $tStruct = DllStructCreate("hwnd hWndFrom;uint_ptr IDFrom;int Code", $lParam)
    Switch DllStructGetData($tStruct, "Code")
        Case -455 ; $TVN_ITEMEXPANDEDW
            ConsoleWrite("TreeView Expanded/Contracted" & @CRLF)
    EndSwitch

EndFunc

Look in the lower SciTE panel to see the mesage each time you click on the [+].

If you want to know more about Windows messages and how to intercept them with GUIRegisterMsg, I recommend the GUIRegisterMsg tutorial in the Wiki. ;)

Please ask if you have any questions after reading the tutorial.
