dooom3
Hi. Can you tell me please how to display a MsgBox with a random text? I have $1 = "hi" , $2 = "hello" and $3 = "bye" and everytime I run the script, I want the MsgBox to display a random text from $1 or $2 or $3. Sorry if this is not the right topic for my question. Moderators Melba23 Posted December 31, 2011 Moderators Share Posted December 31, 2011 dooom3,Sorry if this is not the right topic for my questionYou were right - it was not! Just start a new topic when you have a question - no-one minds! As to your question, put the 3 values into an array and then use Random to choose one of them for display. You might want to look a the Arrays tutorial in the Wiki first if you are not too familar with using them. Give it go yourself and see how you get on - you know where we are if you run into problems. Vossen
As M23 says, something like this? Dim $aWord[3] = ["Hello", "Hi", "Bye"] MsgBox(0, "Word", $aWord[Random(0, UBound($aWord)-1, 1)])
