changing the title of my gui

Hi all,

how can i cahange the title of my gui? I found WinSetTitle, but i would rather like to use the window handle to make sure i always use the right window...

is this possible?

Hi, Allow2010. Can you be a little more specific - are you trying to change the title of a child window or the main? Maybe post part of your code? When using GUICreate to create your main window, the first option is title - so you should be able to set it here, unless I misunderstand what you're after.

In the help file, look at the description for WinSetTitle, and follow the link called "Title special definition". That shows you how to use the window handle with the WinSetTitle function.

thanks to both of you...yes i want to change the title of the main gui that i created...the title shows the current status and so it mus be changed on status change...

hey thats easy...you can just use the winhandle insted of using text in WinSetTitle like this

WinSetTitle($hGUI, "", "Status: OK")

this is a bit hidden in the explaination...would be nice if the helpfile could just state that the first parameter can be title or handle :-)
