IanN1990
This was just an idea but i found when i use the autoit info tool over the windows taskbar clock the "Text" reads the time. Using the Helpfile code i do $text = WinGetText("[CLASS:TrayClockWClass; INSTANCE:1]", "") MsgBox(0, "Text read was:", $text) but i only get zero. The info tool is listed below >>>> Window <<<< Title: Class: Shell_TrayWnd Position: 1920, 0 Size: 259, 1080 Style: 0x96000000 ExStyle: 0x00000088 Handle: 0x0001008C >>>> Control <<<< Class: TrayClockWClass Instance: 1 ClassnameNN: TrayClockWClass1 Name: Advanced (Class): [CLASS:TrayClockWClass; INSTANCE:1] ID: 303 Text: 06 : 19 PM Position: 0, 1012 Size: 257, 53 ControlClick Coords: 122, 19 Style: 0x54000000 ExStyle: 0x00000000 Handle: 0x00010096 >>>> Mouse <<<< Position: 2042, 1031 Cursor ID: 2 Color: 0xB9BEC3 >>>> StatusBar <<<< >>>> ToolsBar <<<< >>>> Visible Text <<<< 06 : 19 PM User Promoted Notification Area System Promoted Notification Area Running applications Running applications >>>> Hidden Text <<<< Edited April 14, 2012 by IanN1990

IanN1990
Hmm because i didn't know about those ^^ so i thought of a way of getting the time assuming there was no built-in function to do it One last question does anyone know the windows shortcut for bringing up the Text-To-Speed ability. Moderators Melba23 Posted January 13, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 13, 2012 IanN1990,because i didn't know about thoseA few minutes (hours? ) spent looking through the Help file is always time well spent. There are things in there which can save a you a lot of time and effort. And before you ask, I find new things all the time. IanN1990
I agree it would be time well spent, but i was just coding and had to use the Info tool. Saw the text and came up with the idea, seamed like a good little project that would have pratical applications if there wasn't any built in function ^^
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted January 13, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 13, 2012 One last question does anyone know the windows shortcut for bringing up the Text-To-Speed ability.Control PanelEase of AccessSpeech Recognition and on the left pannel Text to Speech I think you're looking for Sapi.cpl. IanN1990
Run('C:\Windows\System32\control.exe Sapi.cpl') but looking into the system32 that does seam to be the correct name so i prob done something wrong ShellExecute('C:\Windows\System32\SpeechSpeechUXsapi.cpl') Seams to have got it, but i find it confusing because Runwait('C:\Windows\System32\control.exe mmsys.cpl') brings up the sound panel. Its weird changing to the other .cpl doesn't bring up the text program. Thanks for everyones help though Edited January 13, 2012 by IanN1990
