dekaya
It generates code that is not recognized by the AutoIt3 engine. I am new so a recorder would provide vast insight. ;This AU3Recorder's generated code doesn't work. ;Obviously there are syntax differences. ;But this is just an example ;There are many things that don't work with the recorder #region ---Au3Recorder generated code Start (v3.3.7.0) --- _WinWaitActivate("Program Manager","") MouseClick("left",122,583,2) #endregion --- Au3Recorder generated code End --- can any one offer assistance? BrewManNH
Your posted snippet doesn't demonstrate what "doesn't work" with it. Can you be more specific as to what doesn't work? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. ProgAndy
This is a bug in Au3Recorder, this has nothing to do with the AutoIt-Version. The generator does not add the user defined _WinWaitActivate function although it is used. Func _WinWaitActivate($title, $name) Local $hWnd = WinWait($title, $name) WinActivate($hWnd) WinWaitActive($hWnd) EndFunc *GERMAN* [note: you are not allowed to remove author / modified info from my UDFs]My UDFs:[_SetImageBinaryToCtrl] [_TaskDialog] [AutoItObject] [Animated GIF (GDI+)] [ClipPut for Image] [FreeImage] [GDI32 UDFs] [GDIPlus Progressbar] [Hotkey-Selector] [Multiline Inputbox] [MySQL without ODBC] [RichEdit UDFs] [SpeechAPI Example] [WinHTTP]UDFs included in AutoIt: FTP_Ex (as FTPEx), _WinAPI_SetLayeredWindowAttributes
BrewManNH
I just ran the recorder and the generated code included that function when I saved the file. dekaya
Thanks. Now maybe I can take the next baby step. So I pasted ProgAndy's function into the simple script and of course that fixed that error. Thanks Andy It never did include the function by itself even when saving as mentioned by BrewManNH. From what I am reading in the forums, the recorder seems to act differently on different folks systems. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
