Splitz
Hello, I'm currently using a script to Controlsend some keys to a background window... However while its running it seems to mess up my typing, my keys will randomly go into caps if i press shift once, the alt key also seems to stick down randomly and it just messes with my typing very much even though its working in the background window perfectly. ControlSend("COMODO", "", "", ("2")) Anyone know of a method to avoid the 'bug' i've explained?

JohnOne
Perhaps sound a warning that it is about to start writing, or a visual alert like flash a window. And then block input from the keyboard until it has finished. AutoIt Absolute Beginners Require a serial Pause Script Video Tutorials by Morthawt ipify Monkey's are, like, natures humans. Splitz
Well that would work, except i want it to be running very often for hours at a time and i will be present here while its doing that. So that method will not work for me. I'm guessing there's no way around this bug then?
guinness
There is no bug, see >> Example() Func Example() ; Run Notepad Run("notepad.exe") ; Wait 10 seconds for the Notepad window to appear. Local $hWnd = WinWait("[CLASS:Notepad]", "", 10) ; Wait for 2 seconds. Sleep(2000) ; Send a string of text to the edit control of Notepad. The handle returned by WinWait is used for the "title" parameter of ControlSend. ControlSend($hWnd, "", "Edit1", "This is some text") ; Wait for 2 seconds. Sleep(2000) ; Close the Notepad window using the handle returned by WinWait. WinClose($hWnd) ; Now a screen will pop up and ask to save the changes, the classname of the window is called ; "#32770" and simulating the "TAB" key to move to the second button in which the "ENTER" is simulated to not "save the file" WinWaitActive("[CLASS:#32770]") Sleep(500) Send("{TAB}{ENTER}") EndFunc ;==>Example Run the example and start typing in another notepad window for example. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted January 23, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 23, 2012 Hi, Fenix. If ControlSend is not doing it for you, have a look in the Help file for ControlSetText. Depending on the type of control, this may alleviate the random keystroke issues for you. "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind.
