hebrayah
Hi I have experienced strange behavior of Autoit - my script which is using GUI and Debuging window worked ok, but after installing new version of autoit GUI stoppped react. To find out the reason I have copied an example from your samples part (This one with button OK and single window) - it worked OK until I have turned on the debugger. Is it any quick way to fix it ? water
You are talking about Autoit 3.3.8.0, right? What example did you try? Give us a link please. hebrayah
OK I have used this : #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1) ; Change to OnEvent mode $mainwindow = GUICreate("Hello World", 200, 100) GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "CLOSEClicked") GUICtrlCreateLabel("Hello world! How are you?", 30, 10) $okbutton = GUICtrlCreateButton("OK", 70, 50, 60) GUICtrlSetOnEvent($okbutton, "OKButton") GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) While 1 Sleep(1000) ; Idle around WEnd Func OKButton() ;Note: at this point @GUI_CTRLID would equal $okbutton, ;and @GUI_WINHANDLE would equal $mainwindow MsgBox(0, "GUI Event", "You pressed OK!") EndFunc Func CLOSEClicked() ;Note: at this point @GUI_CTRLID would equal $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, ;and @GUI_WINHANDLE would equal $mainwindow MsgBox(0, "GUI Event", "You clicked CLOSE! Exiting...") Exit EndFunc And it works perfectly button Ok and X ( close is clickable) But if I would paste a small fragment turning on the debuger: #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <Debug.au3> _DebugSetup("Scribe debuger", True) Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1) ; Change to OnEvent mode $mainwindow = GUICreate("Hello World", 200, 100) GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "CLOSEClicked") GUICtrlCreateLabel("Hello world! Exiting...") Exit EndFunc Button OK works in proper way, but if you click window close ( X) script is getting inresponsive - you can click OK button and X without any result. water
As it worked ok with AutoIt < 3.3.8.0 and seems to be broken with 3.3.8.0 I would suggest you open a bug report using Bugtracker. hebrayah
Definitely it was working in previous version. I will do - but I prefered to ask whether it's not something wrong with my computer.
water
I don't think your computer is broken. I could recreate the described behaviour on my machine too. Moderators Melba23 Posted January 24, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2012 hebrayah,The script works fine for me. Once you have closed the $mainwindow GUI, the script has ended so of course the GUI becomes unresponsive. You need to close the Debug GUI for everything to close down. hebrayah
Melba: It's not the explanation - I would like to have the same behaviour with debugger window turned on and off as in previous version of autoit. It just worked!
Moderators Melba23 Posted January 24, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2012 hebrayah, This problem has already been reported as Trac #1588 and is marked as fixed. You might like to reference that in the Trac #2112 you have now opened - which by the way is likely to be rejected as you have not provided a full working code example. hebrayah
As you could see it was fixed in 3.3.6.1 and worked correctly - as I said. It's now broken again. I dont know how to make reference - if you are so experienced please do this.

Moderators Melba23 Posted January 24, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 24, 2012 hebrayah, Please do not take it personally - if you post on Trac too often in a short period we do that to stop idiots spamming Trac (as has happened a few times).
