Finding text inside an attachment and then using it in a database

Hi,

I am brand new to AutoIt. I have inherited an AutoIt script / Macro that used to work by fetching text information inside and email and that would then populate a database. The problem is that we no longer receive the text data inside the email, but as an attachment to the email.

I now have to somehow open the attachment and find the data, but I am not sure at all about how to go about it.

Can anyone point me in a direction please?

Many thanks

H

Hi, hcawood, welcome to the forums. You didn't specifiy which email application you're using, but if it is Exchange/Outlook, you should take a look through Water's OutlookEX UDF, found at the link below. Look specifically at ItemAttachmentSave.au3, which will allow you to save an attachment, which you could then read from.
