Hi Guys,

I am pretty new to AutoIt, However i have managed to create a few scripts, so i know the basics.

My next task is to create a script that would allow me to search a column of a spreadsheet, For every cell within that column that has the keyword being searched for in it. I would like to copy the entire row, from the same line as the cell with the desired keyword. Lastly i would like to paste the row onto a new spreadsheet, allowing me to see all of the rows with the same; Manufacturer, Supplier, Part No, Ect. So there will be more than one result for every search.

I would also like to achieve this by using a GUI with different search options in it.

Would it be possible for someone to point me in the right direction of what i need to read up on, to do this kind of script.

Thanks

The Excel UDF (User Defined Functions) that comes with AutoIt isn't very good at searching but can do the rest.

There is an extended available. Function _ExcelFindInRange will help you here.

Or you can access Excel like a database and use "SELECT" statements etc. Start for this approach. Or search the forum for "excel ado select".
