Consider the following example: Local$res = MyFunc($param1[func1( _ ; this is a silly comment, made by O'Brian ;-( but useless _ 3, $i) _ ; yet another comment ) with a meaningless closing parenthesis and " opening double quote ] _ ; now you get the idea) , 0 _ ; no need to keep you up ) ; end of ) pain I don't have time to dig more into this but while it's perfectly possible to do, I'll need time to come up with something robust enough. I need to pack my things up and go on trip early next day. This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). Robjong Posted February 1, 2012 Share Posted February 1, 2012 It is indeed, but I have gone over this myself a couple of times before and, especially because of strings (read: quotes) and comments it is (almost) impossible to do with pure regex.An implementation like demonstrated www.regular-expressions.info is the most suitable way to go about it if you want something that is fool proof, in my opinion.
