For some reason Exit's code is working for me on 3.3.9.5 now, but I was getting the same error message back in May of last year, see post 157 in this thread. Not sure what verison of Windows I was running it on at the time, but on this computer (Vista x86) it doesn't cause an error.

Local $X = X()
MsgBox(Default, @AutoItVersion, $X)
Func X()
Return 'OK'
EndFunc ;==>X

This code runs fine in 3.3.8.1 and 3.3.9.4, but fails with message " Variable cannot be accessed in this manner.:" in 3.3.9.5

If you delete the word "Local" in the first line, it runs fine in 3.3.9.5 too.

My System: OS:WIN_7/Service Pack 1 CPU:X64 OS:X64)

@guinness: I like the ternarry too and hope it will be in production soon.

OK, we have the same system but Valik might have re-uploaded a new Alpha version back in April (a couple of days later, don't know.) But I take your word for it that you get the error.

It will make functions like _Iif redundant!

My 3.3.9.5 AutoIt3.exe is dated 23.04.2012 01:25 and has size 807 KB (826.880 Bytes)

It failed also on my XP system.

It will make functions like _Iif redundant!

See my ternary overkill here.
