Very simple question :)

Hello

My question is -- if i make a script that simply moves a mouse to some places and makes a few clicks, like to bookmark a page in a certain way, then can I somehow make the mouse in the end move back to the position where it was when I ran the script (I run it with a hotkey)? That place would be different every time fyi it usually would be a spot on a video seeking bar in youtube

Not madly important but could be really useful to a... slightly weird person like me

Store the starting location of the mouse in a variable and then move back to this position when finished with whatever you need to do.

Use MouseGetPos to find out where the mouse was at the start and use those coordinates with MouseMove to put the mouse back there when you have finished.

Still, won't GetMousePos just tell me where the mouse is? So this way if I wanted to move it back there I have to go, write these coordinates into a script and run it? What I'm wondering is if AutoIt can just remember these coordinates for a moment and use them automatically to move the mouse back at the end of the same script. Or how

In your first post you write:

Before you move the mouse, get the mouseposition (by calling MouseGetPos twice and store it in 2 variables). When finished with your clicks, move the mouse with function MouseMove using those two variables. Finished!

$StartPosition = MouseGetPos() ; returns array  which had x/y and saves it to array value 0 and 1
MouseMove(10,10)   ;moves mouse
Sleep(2000)
MouseClick("left",100,100)
Sleep(2000) ;sleeps for 2 sec
MouseMove($StartPosition[0],$StartPosition[1])  ;returns it back to where it left it

using what gordon said u can do this and i'll expand a bit more so u might understand it not knowing how much exp u have but here goes =)
