[Solved] BlockInput() not working

This function doesn't work for me, "i wonder if its because my keyboard/mouse uses custom driver/software? "

I have some code for my taskbar, if mouse is > 1920 then click-drag from left-screen to right if < 0 then click-drag from rightscreen to left.

I need to block input from mouse so my "general moving" doesn't messed up the drag & click.

i also cant use mousetrap

Is there any other way to disable mouse-movement?

If you're using Vista or Win7 then you need to add #RequireAdmin at the top of the script, blockinput won't work in those OSs without it.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

hmm well now i feel stupid ^^

adding requireadmin does make the script run without issues but also prompts a UAC "this script runs at start-up and though i support UAC it would become annoying fast". So i need to find another way to stop the input

I tryed your thing Aipion and it didn't work :)

I also tryed the BlockInputEx which though blocked the mouse and didnt require admin, doesn't allow mouse-drag to perform

_Mousetrap doesn't work in this context as soon as the Mouse-drag happen it undoes the mousetrap.

The only way i have found that does work is Blockinput, but that requires a UAC prompt every time the script is run. Is there any setting "apart from just turning UAC off" that would allow Blockinput to run without making a UAC happen
