how to use "" in RunDos command

Recommended Posts

hopefully a simple question,

im running a script, and this line is giving me problems.

#RequireAdmin
#include <Process.au3>
Local $rc = _RunDos("netsh interface ip set address Wireless Network Connection static 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0 10.0.0.1 1")

however, i know the problem i think.

to run the command correctly, it would be as follows

netsh interface ip set address "Wireless Network Connection" static 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0 10.0.0.1 1

notice the "" around the Wireless Network Connection

soo, if i put that code in, it wouldnt work. so any suggestions?

Either double up the quotes around the Wireless Network Connection, or use single quotes around the whole string and double quotes in the middle of it.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

try it:

_RunDos('netsh interface ip set address "Wireless Network Connection" static 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0 10.0.0.1 1')

you can run the command line with the run command:

Run(@ComSpec & ' netsh interface ip set address "Wireless Network Connection" static 10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0 10.0.0.1 1','',@SW_HIDE)
