How to determine the ControlID for ControlClick? it wont work without

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I want to use ControlClick to make it more User-Friendly but the problem i face is

that nothing happens if ControlID = "" so how can i discover the ControlID of a certain program?

It's a Picture that is a Button, How can i fix it so ControlClick works on the button to click on it, left click ?

$Window = WinGetPos("Log")
ControlClick("Log","","??????","left","1",$Window[0] + (980-304), $Window[1] + (542-128))

Thank u,

Zanax

Did you try the AutoIt Window Info Tool (Scite, Tools Menu, AU3Info)

and there look on the Control tab?

ZanaxNL,

Some apps resist automation - perhaps this is one of them.

What exactly is the "Tool" GUI you are trying to click and what do you get in the Window Info tool concerning its CLASS, etc?

There is a way to make it but its not really user-friendly

WinActivate("Tool")
MouseClick("Tool","",$Window[0],$Window[1])

I try to avoid that, by controlclick

@M23 i dont really get what u mean with

what do you get in the Window Info tool concerning its CLASS, etc?

I selected the button of the Tool, the Tool hasn't got a GUI like any standard GUI, It consist only of pictures and some Pictures that work like Buttons

I gues if u guys can help me out i have to use the not-friendly way. : (

ZanaxNL,

the Tool hasn't got a GUI like any standard GUI

But it still has a GUI! :bye:

You showed us the "Control" tab of the Window Info tool - please show us the "Window" tab you get from your non-existent picture GUI.
