HowTo store/load variables Information in .txt

Hey,

I want to Store and Load information that are in variables

Like:

$variable = "test"

So i can Load/Write/Change the "test" ?

I saw the functions FileRead/Write/ReadLine but i didn't see a topic that show how

to read and store variables from it.

I have already seen it, but I dont get it worked that he only change/write the $Variable = [ "test" ] <--- part

Hi, ZanaxNL. Check out INIWrite in the help file. You can write your desired data into a specific section, and then use INIReadSection at Runtime. Here is a very simple example of putting the two together:

IniWrite("C:Tempmyfile.ini", "section1", "key", @DesktopDir & "TestMyfile.txt") ;create an ini file with one section. value is @desktopdir & "TestMyfile.txt"
Local $var = IniReadSection("C:Tempmyfile.ini", "section1") ;create a variable to read the info in that section of the ini file.
MsgBox(4096, "", $var[1][1]) ; Display value output.

I'm not really following what you're trying to do as this works for me OR perhaps you should be looking at the INIRead/Write functions.

Local $sData = FileRead("Text.txt")
MsgBox(4096, "", $sData)

Hmmmm,

Lets describe it in a example.

a Pop-Up box pops up and ask the user to set his path of a certain file. if he filled it in and press the button the Path he has given is saved in a .ini or .text so i can use the path for any purpose

You don't need to save it in a file. Try this:

$var = InputBox("Test", "Please enter a path to the file")
MsgBox(0, "Results of Test", $var)

I want to store it, because when the users starts the application again the path must be known already if the user has set the path already

That is exactly what I am thinking. You very carefully did not show us the title of the GUI you were attempting to automate here and now you want us to believe you used the word "gamer" twice in a single line because of a typo.

Okay, i think it cant get around it anymore,

Since this forum is all against any kind of "automatic" features with Games,

I cant gain any help of the forum.

Let's descibe what i really make then : (

There is a game, that has a launcher and some strange ways to start the game.

So that's why i maked a automatic game launcher (Mouseclick(GUI)Question).

Now since the path cant be dynamic to the game i want to store the path of the directory of the game launcher

I think this is considerd as Macro/Bot and will not be supported by forum.

So yea, what now?
