_FTP_ProgressDownload

Recommended Posts

Look at FTPEx.au3 in C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\Include\ from line 1062 to 1143.

The progress is called at 1071, however I believe that the Progress itself is the problem as there are no truncations anywhere. You could re-write this function and use a custom GUI with a progress bar. It's been done elsewhere, just search the forum a bit

If you use the one that I have linked in my signature, it has a user programmable label and progress bar that can be quickly thrown into a script as a demo of a way to do that.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Back up and restore Windows user files _Array.au3 - Modified array functions that include support for 2D arrays.  -  ColorChooser - An add-on for SciTE that pops up a color dialog so you can select and paste a color code into a script.  -  Customizable Splashscreen GUI w/Progress Bar - Create a custom "splash screen" GUI with a progress bar and custom label.  -  _FileGetProperty - Retrieve the properties of a file  -  SciTE Toolbar - A toolbar demo for use with the SciTE editor  -  GUIRegisterMsg demo - Demo script to show how to use the Windows messages to interact with controls and your GUI.  -   Latin Square password generator

I was looking at that but what I did instead was to just get the base part of the filename and make it show that. The customer doesn't care where I am putting it - only that each file is downlaoded If you want, I can upload the modified file. Then at least future people will be able to use it as is. Or maybe one of the two previous posters should incorporate their changes into the file. After all - why re-invent the wheel? If something really good is already out there - why not just put it into the file so everyone can use it? Let me know if you want me to upload my changed file. :-)

I see I used the word "file" a lot up there and it might be confusing. I am talking about the FTPEx.au3 file.
