tsolrm
I've got a big script (well over 1000 lines) and I run it directly from autoit to make sure that I know where the error is when it crashes. When it does stop (for example the good old "array variable has incorrect number of subscripts bla bla bla" - it shows the line where the error has occurred but is there any way to find out what variables are equal to before the error happened? I know this is possible in C++ but I'm new to Autoit. Obviously i could set up a text file where all the variables are going to be logged but this would take ages. jchd
You best bet is to _ArrayDisplay the offending array. But beyond post-mortem analysis, you should check for errors when the array gets built (probably the return value of some function). twitchyliquid64
I find it is helpful to use the tracing function of the SCiTE4AutoIT. That way you can see the program flow and determines exactly where it errors out. Then, it is a simple matter of adding _ArrayDisplay($arrayvar) or ConsoleWrite($naughtyvariable) to see what the contents are just before it dies. ongoing projects:-firestorm: Largescale P2P Social NetworkCompleted Autoit Programs/Scripts: Variable Pickler | Networked Streaming Audio (in pure autoIT) | firenet p2p web messenger | Proxy Checker | Dynamic Execute() Code Generator | P2P UDF | Graph Theory Proof of Concept - Breadth First search
