need help in Tooltip

Recommended Posts

With ToolTip() function it is not possible to change the font or font color.

Use a GUI instead something like that.

Very simple example!:

#include <StaticConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

ToolTipEx("forever0donotknowme"&@CRLF&"please help me", 500, 200)

Func ToolTipEx($sTxt, $iX, $iY, $sFont = "Arial", $iFontSize = 16, $iFontColor = 0xFF0000, $iTimeOut = 2000)
    Local Const $hGUI_TTE = GUICreate("", 268, 97, $iX, $iY, $WS_POPUP)
    Local Const $idLabel1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel("", 0, 0, 268, 97, $SS_GRAYFRAME)
    Local Const $idLabel2 = GUICtrlCreateLabel($sTxt, 24, 24, 222, 60)
    GUICtrlSetFont(-1, $iFontSize, 400, 0, $sFont, 4)
    GUICtrlSetColor(-1, $iFontColor)
    GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)
    Sleep($iTimeOut)
    GUIDelete($hGUI_TTE)
EndFunc

You can add some more checks to the function, e.g. calculate the height/width of the string and create GUI appropriately.

forever0donotknowme,

calculate the height/width of the string and create GUI appropriately

Look at the StringSize UDF in my sig to see how you can do that very easily. :oops:

@M23: I wanted that he tries at his own to do some calculations or search the forum for solutions.

It is very easy to provide a solution which already exists...
