Can't use AU3Recorder

Hi guys, I am trying to use AU3Recorder but cannot open it.

I press F5 and the following msg is shown in the output panel

You need to press Alt+F6 OR navigate to Tools >> Au3Recorder. Be aware you need to load an Au3 file into SciTE and be using SciTE4AutoIt3.

Hihi, Yeh, I open a new file, name it as a au3 file, then press alt+f6, but nothing happens. The following msg is given immediately.

>"C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoIt3\SciTE\AutoIt3Wrapper\AutoIt3Wrapper.exe" /AU3Record

>Exit code: 0 Time: 0.325

looks like Recorder is open an then immediately closed? Any idea?

You're using x64 so try the latest beta version of AutoIt3Wrapper. You'll find it in the SciTE4AutoIt3 section under beta. Though honestly you could probably create the script yourself without using Au3Recorder.

Yeh, I am new to this, so just thought may be quicker to learn the syntax by looking at the codes generated by the recorder.

OK. The update should work as I remember there being a problem where AutoIt3Wrapper was opening the x64 version of Au3Recorder despite there not being a x64 version available.

Hey folks,

I updated AutoIt from version 3.8.0 to 3.8.1 on a x64 system. With the help of the previous posts, I'm now able to launch the Au3Recorder via the tools button and can also record key strokes. But it does not register mouse clicks. When I launch the recorder by its own from the data manager, it responds neither to mouse clicks nor to key strokes - nothing happens. The latter way is my preferred one but all suggestions to get the recorder run are very welcome. Thanks in advance!
