Wiki FAQ Improvement Suggestion

I think it's suffice to say rcmaehl that you haven't provided a good enough example. If you did provide a 'plausible' example that required deletion to the nearest millisecond then you wouldn't be using _SelfDelete to achieve this.

That is true, but I don't use _SelfDelete myself so I can't really think of a good example. Anyway, it's just a suggestion.

My UDFs are generally for me. If they aren't updated for a while, it means I'm not using them myself. As soon as I start using them again, they'll get updated.

A shame you weren't this honest at the beginning.

A shame you weren't this honest at the beginning.

Leaving out that information was unintended.

I'm not good at summarizing because I tend to get my main point jumbled, confused, or incomplete, but my main points of this post were:

That a ping with a length of 0 is smaller than the normal ping thus less resources (always)

That a ping might take less than 1 second to run using localhost thus isn't a good timer (compared to using an invalid IP)

That a ping could be used at different different timeout intervals thus using less resources as ping would have idle time (when used with an invalid IP)

Note: Rough draft post, likely to change without notice or you noticing.

Note: Do I need the part saying I'm bad at summarizing? It seems "wrong/missing something."

This is a stupid discussion, but I'll post this anyway to prove the OP's original position is wrong to begin with, and because I really like SS64 as a resource when I need to do batch scripting.
