multi-dimensional array to single-dimension array

What method do the popular kids use to pick a column from a 2d array and make it into its own single array?

I put all the file names and dates into a 2d array, sorted them, and now I want to just output the filenames into its own array.

Or is there a different method I should be using?

Yes. And you can create a new 1D array with the correct size because you know the size of the 2D array up front.

Used to accept file drops, reorganize them by date descending, then just the filenames are put into its own array. Later it will get called by PrimoPDF (if a non-pdf file) to convert it to a PDF, then the output file gets called by ghostscript to be appended to a master document =D

I'm using the arraydisplay as a visual for the user.

Just an FYI, there's no need to use Continueloop in that For loop, all it does in this case is skip the Sleep(100).

The continueloop in the first condition is to skip the first element in $CmdLine. $CmdLine returns an array of dropped files, where $CmdLine[0] is the total file count (which I don't need). I was lazy and didn't want to do a Ubound and then a For...In...Step...Next loop.

I know what you're doing, but as I said, it's not needed at all. The If/Then statement skips the first element in the array, the ContinueLoop just jumps down to the Next in the For loop bypassing the Sleep(100) only, hence it's not needed at all in that loop.

Just being curious, but why not use the multi-dimension array instead of redeclaring a new single dimensional array?

I suppose for simplicity. When I go back to read the code for my primo pdf and ghostscript sections, some years later not knowing what kind of arguments I'm passing, I'd rather glance at it and know that the array only holds one kind of data which is filenames.
