Environment Variables Question

Hi to all, i have this problem. I am reading from windows registry some key to check certain file path, this key somethimes contain Environment Variables. There is a way to convert this Environment Variables to windows format. For example if a certain key reg contain this string:

%SystemDrive%/TESTME.txt

I want that the string is converted to :

C:/TESTME.txt

There is a function to do that? If not how i can do that?

Hello StungStang,

The following can be used to set so that environment variables are automatically parsed:

Opt('ExpandEnvStrings',1)

This can pay a slight price at runtime so I advize also using:

Opt('ExpandEnvStrings',0)

To enable and disable this functionality as and when you require.

The size of the lpSrc and lpDst buffers is limited to 32K.

in WinAPI.au3 size is limited to only 4K
