Script to wipe a hard drive

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any idea how one would accomplish a script to wipe a hard drive in windows. If it's possible to do while in windows thats best or if thats not possible, to have it immediately reboot the pc and start the wipe after it POSTs. I work in IT and wiping hard drives is not always easy, we used to use DBAN on a floppy but that is not really feasible anymore. It would be so much easier to run a script, click a button and it's done. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks.

You mean running a script after POST, its ridiculous man!!

As for Windows, I wrote something like this before:

<snip>

You could try running this script from WinPE or something similar

Not the sort of thing we want to discuss here. ;)

MKISH,

Please engage brain and look at the wider picture before offering help. :)
