abc870404
Hello, I'm fairly new to AutoIT and I would like to know how to pause a script if the window I'm targeting is not on top like the title says lol. Okay soo... Let's say I want to add the pause to this script : WinWaitActive ("Untitled - Notepad") Send ("{A}") Sleep ( 1000 ) Send ("{D}") How can I do so? Thank you for reading this ~

BrewManNH
WinWaitActivePauses execution of the script until the requested window is active. abc870404
Must I add WinWaitActive to EVERY line in the script? @_@ I added the WinWaitActive at the beginning but after that when I Alt+Tab out it sends commands to my desktop LOL
BrewManNH
If you keep navigating away from the program you're trying to automate, then yes, you will need to do that. Or you can look at ControlSend instead of Send, send is VERY unreliable if you are using the computer at the same time as the script is running because you're taking focus away from the window you're trying to Send to. JohnOne
If you want to use Send, just make a function. Something like this Func _Send($Send) WinActivate("the window","") WinWaitActive("the window","") Send($Send) Endfun AutoIt Absolute Beginners Require a serial Pause Script Video Tutorials by Morthawt ipify Monkey's are, like, natures humans.
