Need help with Excel formated data in clipboard.

Recommended Posts

I am work on a script that pulls data from a information screen that gives information in an Excel format. I can copy rows from this screen and it will paste to Excel and It is recognised as a row in Excel. What I ultimatly want to do is assign varibale based on the information in the rows. The following is a test script that I am using to try try to figure out how to split up the information.

$data = "a C C N J K" ;copied from excel

$vars = StringSplit($data, "{TAB}")

MsgBox(1, "test", $data)
MsgBox(1, "test1", $vars[0])
MsgBox(1, "test2", $vars[1])
MsgBox(1, "test3", $vars[2])
MsgBox(1, "test4", $vars[3])
MsgBox(1, "test5", $vars[4])
MsgBox(1, "test6", $vars[5])

I am not 100% that the seperator is a tab.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replace line

$vars = StringSplit($data, "{TAB}")
with
$vars = StringSplit($data, @TAB)
and give it a try.
