gwatt
I'm currently working on a project that uses AutoIt to automate older software installation. The scripts need to be compiled. In the course of testing these scripts I've come across an infuriating issue. Compiling programs with syntax errors doesn't fail at compile time. It fails at runtime. Does anyone know why this is and if there is way to have errors thrown at compile time? This is immensely problematic because I'm on a virtual machine and errors half way through the installation process mean I have to revert back to a clean environment. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted May 23, 2012 Moderators Share Posted May 23, 2012 Ensure you're using the full version of AutoIt. Then, prior to compiling, hit CTRL+F5 to run the SyntaxCheck Prod. gwatt
Thanks. I ended up using Au3Check.exe directly since I'm using a Makefile to run a large build.
