Send mail via a Web Microsoft Exchange Server

I saw a post by Jos to do this but it fails connecting to the server.

I have a MS exchange server that is a web site, EG https://abc.def.com/exchange takes you to the web page.

I dont know if this is all that is needed to be able to connect (besides user name / password).

If I can send mail / recieve mail via User Defined Function it would be the Brees Knees to me. Right now, I have issues with the GUI depending on IE7, IE8 , they are somewhat different.

Using the web interface to an Exchange server (OWA) is not that easy.

Do you have a client like Outlook installed on your PC?

I can set one up, however, I was hoping to do it solely through the web server.

Do I need a smtp server address?

If you have a mailbox on the Exchange server that's enough.

I do our mailbox creation using a PowerShell script.

Something like:

$sam = "XY" ; SamAccountname of the user
$sEXDatabase = "mbx-com" ; Database name where teh mailbox will be created
"C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -command . " & _
"'D:\Exchange Server\V14\bin\RemoteExchange.ps1'; Connect-ExchangeServer -auto; Enable-Mailbox -Identity " & _

The exchange server is on a web site, log in info and an address I am sure is required. I also need to attach files (usually 1 file).

The example appears to address a local server. The address for the GUI is like "https://abc.def.com/exchange"

Is there any script written that does this?

I think what you see is the web interface to an Exchange server (OWA). This means you can access the Exchange server by browser or by Outlook client.
