2 Different Timings

Is it possible to have your script be running 2 loops simultaniously? I need one fuction to run every 10 seconds and another to run every 30 minutes.

Basically I have a readout program using a function I made to retrieve SNMP information for our printers to get toner and page counts. This loops every 3 seconds.

I have another function that i would like to loop every 30 minutes to record the counts to an access database.

I basically need the SNMP function running to update my GUI every 3 seconds and another runnning every 30 minutes at the same time.

Did you look at AdlibRegister?

You can look into one script running continually (for the 10 seconds one), and a windows task to start a compiled script every 30 min.

else, since you are gathering data, you can always create a loop in a loop

While 1

$iCounter = 0
While $iCounter < 180 ; ( 30 minutes, 60 seconds each minute  all divided by 10 second intervals)
   <yourscript>
   $iCounter = $iCounter + 1
   sleep( 10000)

The way you're using Sleep is a bad idea as it will pause his script entirely. Plus using Sleep for anything more than a second is generally a bad idea. Again, look at AdlibRegister.

And don't use a counter/Sleep() to do a timers job. It is not that exact, could easely be a few ms wrong, and could be influenced to be much more....

When you want a timer, user a timer. Or in this case, AdlibRegister() as the 30 minute code would practically never be running.
