WinMenuSelectItem

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I would like to automate some actions (menu clicking) but I hit the wall at the very beginning.

; This will select File, Page Setup in notepad
$s=WinMenuSelectItem("[CLASS:Notepad] ", "", "&File")
MsgBox(0,"",$s)

Always returns 0, any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Doesn't work here neither. Windows 7 64bit running on Virtualbox on Ubuntu, AutoIt 3.3.8.0 and 3.3.9.3.

Works here. I had a typo and now it returns the expected result.

I think the problem with your script is that you just select a menu but not an item. Does this work for you?

$s = WinMenuSelectItem("[CLASS:Notepad]", "", "&File", "Page Set&up...")
MsgBox(0, "", $s)
