Resolved--_SQLite_Open assistance

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have copied some code from my old Win 7 laptop to my new Win 7 laptop.(Attached).

This code works perfectly on my old laptop.

The only real difference is I have the latest version of autoit on my new lap top.

It fails at _SQLite_Open.

Could some point me in the correct direction please.

Here is a snippet

_SQLite_Open("c:\a\caz.db");;;FAILS HERE
If @error Then
     MsgBox(16, "SQLite Error", "Can't create a memory Database!" & @error);;;;FAILS HERE
     Exit -1
EndIf
_SQLite_Close()

Regards

Wena

When invoking _SQLite_Startup, you provide the path to the command-line tool (SQLite3.exe) instead of the one to sqlite3.dll

This wonderful site allows debugging and testing regular expressions (many flavors available). An absolute must have in your bookmarks.

Hi Jchd

Thanks for the reply.

I added the the path --- $sSQliteDll = _SQLite_Startup(@SystemDir & "SQlite3.dll").

It is still failing.

I have checked in system32 and the file does exist.

Unless I am reading the help file incorrectly it is supposed to create a temp dll when using the SQLite include files.

I have also tried #Require Admin.

EDIT

I have resolved this for now.

I had SQLClose on the wrong side off my endif.

@jchd Thanks your advise worked.

Are you on a 64 bit version of Win7? Is the script being run as 32 or 64 bit? Is the sqlite.dll a 64 or 32 bit dll and what is its name?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
