Crazy
Hi, i have this litle script #include <Array.au3> Dim $aArray[5] = [1, 2, 3,4,5] $aArrayCombo = _ArrayCombinations($aArray, 2, ",") _ArrayDisplay($aArrayCombo, "LAWL") Dim $aArray[5] = [$aArrayCombo[1], 3] $aNewArray = _ArrayPermute($aArray, ",") _ArrayDisplay($aNewArray, "Array Permuted") My problem is on "Dim $aArray[5] = [$aArrayCombo[1], 3]" the $aArraycombo at this point is "1,2". The problem is that auto it pick ups this as a "whole block" so he doesn't correctly do the permutations like 1,2,3 | 1,3,2 | 3,2,1| and so on he just does 1,2,3 and 3,1,2 (and the rest doesn't show up correctly for the lack of the 3 missing). Is there a way to split the "1,2"(together) to a 1,2(separated) in a way that permutations work "correctly"?
BrewManNH
Here's one way of doing it. #include <Array.au3> Dim $aArray[5] = [1, 2, 3,4,5] $aArrayCombo = _ArrayCombinations($aArray, 2, ",") _ArrayDisplay($aArrayCombo, "LAWL") $string = StringSplit($aArrayCombo[1], ",") Dim $aArray[5] = [$string[1],$string[2],3] $aNewArray = _ArrayPermute($aArray, ",") _ArrayDisplay($aNewArray, "Array Permuted") If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Crazy
Sorry to bump this but I've found yet another problem. Is anyway to do arrangements ? For example for making a number of 4 digits when the digits can repeat them self. Combinations will make the order not important, and it Is, and permutations will not make the numbers repeat. EDIT: Belive that arrangements will not work either its like 10! x 10! x 10! x 10! Edited June 27, 2012 by Crazy
