Where is _NTServices.au3 or ServiceControl.au3?

Recommended Posts

I've searched everywhere for these UDFs, but the links to those files don't work.

I can use CompInfo.au3 to get an array of services, but that UDF doesn't have any functions to set parameters for a service. I just need to stop and start a service.

Anyone know what happened to these files?

Thanks,

Dick

I already found those two links, but neither one works. That's why I posted this.

And what or where is the "gear"?

You gotta learn how to search friend. Press the gear and limit the search to example scripts forum and both were right there.

Those links both go to the relevant posts that have the UDFs you're looking for to download. The gear icon is the the icon on the search that looks like a gear.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

The files are there, just download them. I don't know what more you want.

The advanced search by the normal search?

When I clicked those links, nothing happened. I expected to get a "Download file" type of dialog box. So I assumed nothing was downloaded. But I finally checked my download folder, and there they were.

PS: I discovered that the "gear" (Advanced Search) does not show in Firefox. I had to use Chrome to see it.
